Our House has produced many a feat in its time… and now, weeve brought the dodo back to life. Strutting across this plush British-made velvet cushion, our painterly rendering of the fantastical creature is symbolic of our collective need to safeguard the planetes precious wildlife. The backdrop is equally extraordinary: a hand-painted damask found in the archives of Gainsborough, the renowned silk weaving house, weeve preserved the original draftsmanes grids (which were used to plot the design onto the loom) as our way of celebrating the time-honoured craft of weaving.
